Workers Voice Network: stories that unite

The free eight week, online programme combines expert-led skills development with ongoing support and mentoring throughout. Through a mix of workshops, creative tasks and mentoring, participants learn practical video skills, how content spreads, and how to use trends, hooks and framing to communicate persuasively.  

Sessions also cover digital safety, wellbeing and building supportive peer networks to sustain long-term content creation. By the end, participants will have created multiple videos, tested new messages, and planned how to continue growing their influence. 

Participants will also receive mentorship for 6 weeks after the programme ends, and join a network of content creators responding to far-right narratives. 

This is a free application-based programme. Places are limited. Deadline for applications is 12pm Thursday 22 January.

Why do we need a Workers Voice Network, and what issues are we focusing on? 

Far-right online narratives are growing rapidly across platforms like TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. Workers voices are under-represented in these spaces, while far-right influencers continue to build trust, relevance, and reach. 

We need content that speaks authentically to workers and communities - made by people who are part of those communities themselves. 

To build counter-narratives that reach large numbers of people, the Workers Voice Network is open to all workers who have a phone and an interest in speaking authentically to their colleagues and communities. And we're particularly interested in applications from: Young men pushing back on misogynistic narratives, public sector workers in Wales and health and social care workers.

Young men pushing back on misogynistic narratives 

Young men are increasingly targeted by far-right influencers using misogyny. We want to support young men who can create content that resonates with peers and challenges these harmful messages. We understand that attendees will be interested in a range of issues, and wouldn’t expect attendees to only create content about misogynist content after the course. The young men's cohort is open to men who meet their union's definition of young member/worker (if you are not sure of your union's rule, please speak to your union). If you are not in a union, young men 35 and under are able to apply.

Public sector workers in Wales 

Supporting public sector workers in Wales to create relatable content that challenges divisive narratives and supports solidarity across communities and workplaces. We are prioritising public sector workers but are keen to hear from other workers in Wales too. 

Health and social care workers 

Divisive narratives around migration, racism and the NHS are circulating in health and social care settings. We want to support workers to push back on harmful narratives.  

We will be recruiting health and social care workers in partnership with unions. Please contact your union if you have seen this advert and are interested. 

If you're a worker who doesn't fit into the three groups above, the course is very much open to you. 

Who can take part? How are they chosen? 

We are looking for applicants who: 

• Show potential as a content creator - strong communication, presence, clarity, energy, creativity
• Have alignment with union values (anti-racist, anti-misogynistic)
• Aged 18+
• Desire to build skills and contribute content within their community or workplace by joining a network of content creators that produce content on a regular basis
• Are able to attend weekly training sessions - each Thursday at 5pm for 60-90 minutes - from 29 January for 8 weeks
• Have capacity to produce four - six videos during course delivery
• Commit to the TUC code of conduct 

No professional experience or professional equipment is required. You just need your phone and an interest in using your social media for good. 

You will be asked to provide a union reference (for example from your branch or a union officer) confirming they are aware of and support their participation. Please inform your union and/or referee that you have applied.

This is a free course. A limited bursary is available for those who would lose income by taking part.

Applications close 12pm Thursday 22 January 2026. This is a live application process and we’ll be signing people up to the course on a rolling basis, so do get your applications in soon.

Bydd y cwrs Rhwydwaith Llais y Gweithwyr: Straeon sy’n Uno yn hyfforddi ac yn cefnogi grŵp o aelodau a chynrychiolwyr undebau llafur i greu cynnwys digidol effeithiol yn ddiogel, sy'n herio naratifau'r dde eithafol ar-lein.

Mae'r rhaglen wyth wythnos ar-lein yn cyfuno datblygu sgiliau dan arweiniad arbenigwyr â chefnogaeth a mentora parhaus drwy gydol y rhaglen. Drwy gymysgedd o weithdai, tasgau creadigol, a mentora, mae cyfranogwyr yn dysgu sut i greu fideos ar gyfer llwyfannau fel TikTok, Instagram a YouTube, sut mae cynnwys yn lledaenu, a sut i ddefnyddio tueddiadau, bachau a fframio i gyfathrebu mewn modd perswadiol.

Pam mae angen Rhwydwaith Llais y Gweithwyr arnom, a pha faterion rydym yn canolbwyntio arnynt?

Rydym ni eisiau cefnogi dynion ifanc sy'n gallu creu cynnwys sy'n taro tant â chyfoedion, ac sy'n herio'r negeseuon niweidiol hyn. Rydym yn deall y bydd gan y rhai sy'n bresennol ddiddordeb mewn amrywiaeth o faterion, ac ni fyddem yn disgwyl i fynychwyr greu deunyddiau am gynnwys sy'n ymwneud â chasineb at fenywod yn unig ar ôl y cwrs.

1. Gweithwyr y sector cyhoeddus yng Nghymru

Cefnogi gweithwyr y sector cyhoeddus yng Nghymru i greu cynnwys perthnasol sy'n herio naratifau dadleuol ac sy’n cefnogi undod ar draws cymunedau a gweithleoedd. Rydym yn blaenoriaethu gweithwyr y sector cyhoeddus ond rydym yn awyddus i glywed gan weithwyr eraill yng Nghymru hefyd.

1. Gweithwyr iechyd a gofal cymdeithasol

Mae naratifau dadleuol ynghylch mudo, hiliaeth, a'r GIG yn mynd o gwmpas mewn lleoliadau iechyd a gofal cymdeithasol. Rydym ni eisiau cefnogi gweithwyr i wrthod naratifau niweidiol.

Byddwn yn recriwtio gweithwyr iechyd a gofal cymdeithasol mewn partneriaeth ag undebau. Cysylltwch â'ch undeb os ydych chi wedi gweld yr hysbyseb hon a bod gennych chi ddiddordeb.

Pwy all gymryd rhan? Sut maen nhw'n cael eu dewis?

Rydym yn chwilio am ymgeiswyr sydd â’r nodweddion canlynol:

• Dangos potensial fel crëwr cynnwys - cyfathrebu cryf, presenoldeb, eglurder, egni, creadigrwydd
• Cyd-fynd â gwerthoedd undebau (gwrth-hiliol, gwrth-gasineb at fenywod)
• Byddwn yn blaenoriaethu lleoedd ar gyfer aelodau undebau sy'n gysylltiedig â'r TUC
• 18 oed a hŷn
• Awydd i feithrin sgiliau a chyfrannu cynnwys yn eu cymuned neu eu gweithle drwy ymuno â rhwydwaith o grewyr cynnwys sy'n cynhyrchu cynnwys yn rheolaidd
• Gallu mynychu sesiynau hyfforddi wythnosol (dyddiadau ar gael isod)
• Gallu cynhyrchu un fideo yr wythnos wrth gyflwyno'r cwrs
• Ymrwymo i god ymddygiad TUC

Nid oes angen unrhyw brofiad proffesiynol nac offer proffesiynol. Y cyfan sydd ei angen arnoch yw eich ffôn a diddordeb mewn defnyddio eich cyfryngau cymdeithasol er daioni.

Nid oes rhaid i chi fod yn aelod o undeb llafur i wneud cais ond byddwn yn blaenoriaethu ymgeiswyr sy'n aelod o undeb llafur sy'n gysylltiedig â'r TUC. Os ydych chi'n aelod, gofynnir i chi ddarparu geirda gan undeb (er enghraifft gan eich cangen neu swyddog undeb) yn cadarnhau eu bod yn ymwybodol o’ch cyfranogiad ac yn ei gefnogi.

Mae bwrsari cyfyngedig ar gael i'r rhai a fyddai'n colli incwm drwy gymryd rhan. Dim ond i aelodau undebau llafur sy'n gysylltiedig â’r TUC y mae hyn ar gael.

Sut alla i gymryd rhan?

Rydym yn gweithio gydag undebau'r sector iechyd a gofal cymdeithasol i annog gweithwyr i gymryd rhan. Os ydych chi wedi gweld yr hysbyseb hon a bod gennych chi ddiddordeb, cysylltwch â'ch undeb.

Dyddiad cau ymgeisio

Y dyddiad cau ar gyfer ceisiadau yw 11.59pm ddydd 14 Ionawr 2026. Mae hon yn broses ymgeisio fyw, a byddwn yn cofrestru pobl ar gyfer y cwrs ar sail dreigl, felly cyflwynwch eich ceisiadau cyn gynted â phosibl. 

Byddwn yn cysylltu â'r ymgeiswyr llwyddiannus erbyn 21 Ionawr. Os na fyddwch chi wedi clywed gennym erbyn y dyddiad hwn, yn anffodus, nid ydych wedi cael eich dewis y tro hwn.
