Overview

In the second of our Autumn series of webinars, TUC equality experts Quinn Roache and Sian Elliott discuss the impact of Covid on disabled and women workers.

For many workers with disabilities, Covid brings with it challenges and barriers. Employers have a duty to ensure that all workers are treated fairly and are not discriminated against. But many disabled people are disproportionately affected by coronavirus and many employers are unwilling to make the reasonable adjustments they require.

Coronavirus has also had a major impact on women workers. The pandemic has seen a significant increase in cases of domestic violence. Many women have experienced difficulties balancing childcare with work. And as the economic downturn takes hold, pregnancy and maternity discrimination is on the rise.

Join our webinar to find out how you can support disabled and women colleagues facing discrimination. The webinar will help you:

  • identify discrimination of disabled and women workers
  • ensure employers don’t treat vulnerable workers unfairly
  • support colleagues whose jobs are under threat.
