Overview

Workplace stress is more than just “part of the job” — it’s a serious and growing risk to our mental and physical health. As workloads rise and pressures mount, stress has become one of the leading workplace hazards facing workers today.

Join us for an important webinar exploring:

  • The causes of workplace stress and how it affects our health and wellbeing
  • What action employers should be taking to prevent and manage stress at work
  • How reps can identify risks, support members, and campaign for safer, healthier workplaces

We'll be launching brand new resources to support you reviewing the risk of work-related stress and developing an organising response.

Hear from:

  • Safety reps from the University of Birmingham who have successfully had their employer investigated by HSE for work-related stress.
  • Jamie McGovern, health and safety lead at CWU union. The union has developed a tool for whole-workplace stress risk assessments in line with the HSE standards which allows for electronic surveying and automatic risk quantification.

Let’s make sure stress caused by work is treated with the same seriousness as physical hazards in the workplace.

It’s time to treat psychosocial risk as the safety issue it is — and take action before stress becomes a crisis.
