TUC LESE Lifting COVID Restrictions and the Impact on Workers
From Monday 19 July 2021, the regulations established by the Government for the management of the pandemic have been greatly reduced or removed. Very late and wholly inadequate new guidance for employers was issued that pushes decisions and responsibilities back onto them.
However, even though the majority of legally enforceable restrictions have ended, all employers must still comply with their legal duties to make sure they are operating a safe environment, for workers and customers.
We will be discussing:
What does this mean in practice?
What do reps need to know?
What should employers be doing?
Where can reps find resources and more advice
What can reps do if they believe their employer is failing to meet their legal duties?
