The trade union event of the year returns to the green fields of Dorset in 2025!

Every year we gather to commemorate the founding of our movement; when six agricultural workers met under a tree to agree not to accept wages below a certain amount, were punished with transportation to Australia, and a massive outcry and campaign won them a full pardon - establishing trade unionism in the UK. The judges wanted to set an example, and the Tolpuddle Martyrs succeeded at setting their own example - people power wins. This is a legacy we continue to build and stand proudly in today, almost 200 years later.

The three-day festival includes a vibrant political talks programme, a march through the village, and exciting musical performances by legendary veterans and rising stars alike. There's comedy, theatre, DJ sets, union and campaigning stalls, a wide range of food, and in depth conversations with old and new friends under the sun (and deep into the twilight if you want). It is truly an unmissable event which recharges activists year after year.

This year brings the arrival of the new Young Worker ticket at half price; between that and the new young worker space organised and staffed by the TUC South West Young Organisers' Network, this is a great year for unions to bring delegations of young workers  to continue the important work of future-proofing our movement in the most fun and exciting way imaginable.
