Overview

Young workers are more likely than other age groups to be in insecure work, in low paid jobs and have fewer opportunities to progress at work. Unions mean better pay, secure jobs and training on the job, yet very few young workers are in unions. We can change that.

This HeartUnions week join our webinar of expert speakers to hear their experience of reaching out to younger workers:

  • Jo Galazka, Regional Women's & Equalities Officer, Unite.
  • Nick Davies, Chair of the UNISON Wales/Cymru Young Members’ Forum. Nick will talk about how he assists young members in campaigning on issues that they are passionate about.
  • Stanley Wai Hong Ho, Policy and Campaigns Support Officer, Wales TUC. Stanley will share his experience of organising young workers in Hong Kong.

We know that for unions to still be relevant in the future, they need to be relevant to young workers now. Young workers are more than tomorrow’s members, they are part of today’s fight. Join us and find out what you can be doing to reach younger workers in your workplace.
