I hope this email finds you well.
I am writing to ask if you, and your Council colleagues, would support a campaign to help keep people safe at work.
It would come at no cost to the council, but great benefit to local residents.
Several local councils have joined forces with the Trades Union Congress (TUC) already to promote the message Stay Safe: Join A Union. It would be great if our council signed up, too.
Research shows that workplaces with unions better manage safety, have fewer work-related injuries and illness. It's in all our interests that people are well represented and their health and safety protected.
With the council's regulatory and enforcement responsibilities, we have a duty to make sure people have access to information and support.
The campaign offers councils:
Joint comms including poster designs and health & safety advice content.
A free text service for residents to find out which union is right for them.
