In a world that often feels designed to divide us, it's crucial to remember where the real power lies: not with the wealthy elite who profit from our divisions, but with us, the working people.

At a time of rising hate and division, it's more important than ever that our movement stands united. The far-right seeks to exploit workers' grievances, replacing class solidarity with racial division. But our answer has always been, and always will be, collective action and solidarity across the working class.

The TUC is committed to building collective power through our unions and their members. As part of our anti-far right strategy, we’ve developed a suite of free resources with our Education and Equality teams to strengthen solidarity and equip reps, members, and activists to tackle the rise of the far-right in workplaces and communities. These resources include:

  • Talking Solidarity (new online guide): practical tips to help reps handle tough conversations, defuse division, and unite people around the values we share.
  • Tackling the Far-Right (updated guide): a powerful resource to help activists spot and stand up to far-right activity, using solidarity and trust as our strongest tools.
  • Building Union Strength Through Constructive Conversations (in-person course): hands-on training for reps to respond to grievances and challenging views with empathy, confidence, and impact. Register your interest here

You can find all these materials and more on our updated anti-far right page.

Our power lies in our unity. By using the tools and resources available through the TUC, we can grow our movement, strengthen our collective voice, and ensure that the power to change our lives for the better remains in our hands.
