About

Amarjite Singh (AJ) is an organising and development officer for TUC Cymru. AJ was employed by Royal Mail for over 35 years and was a branch secretary for over 15 years before leaving Royal Mail in 2022.

He progressed through the ranks as a CWU rep. He represented CWU at branch level, regional and on the CWU National Executive level.

He also, represented CWU in the wider trade union movement from the TUC, Labour Party and European level. He was instrumental in making policy not only in the CWU but in the wider trade union movement.

At TUC Cymru, AJ is the strategic lead for tackling populism and the rise of the far right across Wales. He is a strategic part of the TUC Cymru Black Activists Development Programme, which is on its third year. He also does work on Trades Union Councils and World of work with other colleagues.
