UNISON reps extract a great pay deal for staff at the National Coal Mining Museum
Nearly 100 employees at the National Coal Mining Museum for England won a pay increase of up to 10.5% following five days of strike action by UNISON members. Workers at the museum include ex-miners who keep the heritage of the coal industry alive for a new generation, by giving talks and tours of the underground tunnels at Wakefield’s former Caphouse Colliery.
