Wales TUC statement on new risk assessment tool for BAME workers in the NHS and social care
Wales TUC General Secretary Shavanah Taj has made the following statement in response to the Welsh Government's announcement on risk assessments for some BAME workers.
We welcome the Welsh Government's announcement that a new risk assessment tool is being published to support BAME workers in the NHS and social care in Wales.
We will keep working with health unions, Welsh Government and employers to ensure this is appropriately applied across the sector.
We recommended this tool is adapted for all sectors and forms part of Covid-19 specific workplace risk assessments for all vulnerable workers including pregnant and disabled workers.
