North West transport to People's Assembly

Activists from across the North West will join many thousands of others in London on Saturday 20^th June to join the People’s Assembly National Demonstration. Full details of this can be found here. 

To assist those who want to travel to London, some transport has been arranged in the region via our Trades Councils and other organisations. Details of the transport available can be found below.

East Lancashire

Departure: Colne bus station 6.30am. Calls at Nelson, Burnley and Accrington.

Lancaster

Departure: Dalton Square @ 7am,
(1 of 2 coaches will stop in Preston, Adelphi Roundabout, UCLAN @ 7:30am)

If you want to travel by train, some of us will be taking the 8:38 from Lancaster. We'll meet on the platform.

Manchester

Liverpool

Joint train and underground tickets. Those interested should apply to their respective trades council or Unite Community branch if they are members. The train leaves Liverpool at 06:45 arriving in Euston at 09:00. The return train leaves Euston at 19:07 arriving in Liverpool at 21:25.

Coach Booking Form

The available coach seats will be FREE  on a first come first serve basis. We currently have TUC funding for 2 coaches departing:

1. Chorlton Street, Coach Station central Manchester M1 3JF:

Depart. 6.30 am  

2. Bury Interchange (bus station) Nr Kay Gardens

on Haymarket Street: Depart: 6.30 am

 Rochdale Town Hall: Depart 7.00 am 

Oldham, West Street Bus Station (opposite Civic Centre): Depart 7.15 am

We would appreciate a donation from those organizations and individuals who are able to do so to help fund more coaches. A seat on average costs £22.00

For block bookings by trade union branches / TUC’s please support the application with the names and contract details for all individuals requiring a seat. At the same time make sure that each individual has the GMATUCs secretary’s contact details in case of late cancellations.
