TUC/TU ink Trade Union Communications Awards 2013

Welcome to the TUC Trade Union Communications Awards for 2013. We are delighted to have the generous sponsorship of TU ink again this year.

There are seven categories which are:

best journal/magazine for members
best feature
best photograph or illustration
best one-off publication
best campaign
best union website
best use of e-communications

The entry forms can be found by clicking on the individual category links below and each form outlines in detail what is required for that category. Please read all entry rules carefully and follow the instructions below. Entries must have been published between March 2012 and February 2013.

Please submit only one entry per category. Seven copies of category one and four copies of all other categories are required. Please attach a form to each entry. Please return your entries marked for the attention of Alen Mathewson in the Campaigns and Communications Department.

The closing date for entries is 3pm Friday 15 February 2013. Final judging will take place in May and the awards ceremony will be at Congress House on Monday 1 July 2013 from 6pm to 8pm. Please put this date in your diary.

As usual, an exhibition of the entries will be on display at Congress House on the evening of the awards and during Congress in Bournemouth in September.

In order to assist us with the compilation of the exhibition and the publication 'Judges' Comments and Focus on the Winners' please also submit (or ask your printer to submit) a high resolution PDF of your entries. Please note that these are for illustrative purposes only and will not form part of the judging. We don't therefore need the entire entry; so in Categories One and Four, you might submit a PDF of the cover and a single spread of your choice. In Category Five this could be a PDF of one or two items from your campaign. In Categories Six and Seven this could be a PDF of some screenshots of your choice.

Please submit your hi-res PDFs by going to the ftp site ftp://ftp.tuink.co.uk and log in with:

*Please note that both username and password are case sensitive.

If you have any problems using FTP (firewalls can sometimes be an issue) please feel free to use a portal such as yousendit.com or send them on a CD. Please let Alen Mathewson know when you have uploaded your hi-res images.
