A minute's movie magic to sell the trade union message
You have just a minute to encourage and inform people why they should join a trade union.
The TUC's 60 Second Ad contest is back ...and there are great prizes to be won.
In today's climate, people need a union now more than ever and this is your chance to show them why. Your audience for the advert are those people who have little or no knowledge of trade unions.
You will make a short film to capture their interest and get the trade union message across. You have between 30 seconds and minute to do so. We are not looking for the next Spielberg, just a great idea well presented. Your deadline is GMT midnight August 9, 2010.
Log on to www.tuc60seconds.org.uk for more details, examples of last year's entries and information on the workshop on Friday, July 9th with experts from the industry to help get you started.
The winner will receive £1000, a day on a film set, and tickets to the Premiere of Made in Dagenham, starring Sally Hawkins, Bob Hoskins, Miranda Richardson and Rosamund Pike. Your advert will be shown at a special screening of the film and will be seen by thousands of people across the world, including showings at the Geneva Labour Film Festival and the Washington DC Labour film festival. Do not worry, if needed, we will work with you to bring your advert up to broadcast quality.
There are lots of exciting prizes for the runners up too.
