The TUC Yorkshire and the Humber exists to change the world of work for good. We represent over 600,000 workers in Yorkshire across 49 different trade unions.

We speak and campaign collectively on behalf of our unions and their members to ensure the voice of working people is heard in business, government, civil society, and the press.

We work with organisations within the region including politicians, government departments, local and combined authorities, metro-mayors and devolved bodies, Local Enterprise Partnerships, business and civil society organisations to ensure that the voice of working people is heard and included in policy

We are the regional office in Yorkshire for the national Trades Union Congress. We are democratically accountable to our member unions, and to facilitate this we hold a conference every year, attended by delegates from affiliated unions and trades councils in the region. This is our policy making body and resolutions passed at the AGM / Conference form our work plan for the coming year. This year’s work plan will be uploaded soon so you can see what campaigns we are currently engaged in.

An Executive committee made up of representatives of affiliated unions and trades councils meets regularly throughout the year to oversee our work and share experiences and resources between unions.
