Our Lives is a report on modern British poverty, written by an independent group of women authors, including TUC General Secretary Frances O'Grady. It is based on the experience of real people coping with poverty and shows that they are nothing like the stereotypes relied on by politicians and TV programmes.
This report is an antidote to the assumption that people relying on low pay or without jobs are poor because of their personal failings and calls for a debate to tackle ignorance, stereotypes and denial of poverty.
