Submission to government consultation on Transpacific trade deal (CPTPP)
The TUC has submitted evidence to the Department of International Trade consultation on the Comprehensive and Progressive Transpacific Partnership (CPTPP), calling for the UK to drop plans to join the deal due to the serious threats it poses to workers' rights, public services and democracy through the dangerous ISDS clauses in the deal. The TUC calls for the government to instead prioritise getting a Brexit deal with the EU that protects rights and jobs.
