TUC Northern and TUC North West are running an exciting new skills-based development programme to help the young workers of today become the activists and leaders of tomorrow.
Future Leaders

The 2019 Future Leaders Programme is looking for young worker interested in becoming more active in the movement and will include a series of workshops along with an international visit to Auschwitz and Krakow in Poland.

As part of the programme participants will: 

  • take part in a number of bespoke workshops specifically designed to help develop skills in campaigning, organising and leading others; 
  • learn about the Holocaust through a five day visit to Auschwitz and Krakow, Poland; and
  • design and deliver, along with the other participants, a local campaign during Young Workers Month 2019.

The programme is open to young members of TUC affiliated unions and limited to 10 per region. It is recommended that applications are submitted as soon as possible in order to guarantee a place.
