Wales TUC welcomes Welsh Government £1.1bn funding announcement
Responding to today’s announcement of a £1.1bn support package for the economy and public services, Wales TUC General Secretary, Shavanah Taj said:
“We welcome the Welsh Government’s announcement today of further financial support for businesses and charities.
It’s vital that workers in Wales have fair and decent jobs to go back to once the Coronavirus is under control and these measures should go some way to filling the gaps left by previous announcements.
We want to see this funding being used to protect as many jobs as possible. We look forward to looking at the detail of the proposals to ensure that the money is going to be used as effectively as possible to protect the livelihoods of workers and their families.”
