Commenting on the tied First Minister vote today, Wales TUC General Secretary Martin Mansfield said:

"Wales voted overwhelmingly for parties which stood on a progressive platform.

"There is a huge amount of urgent work to get on with - not least saving our steel industry and delivering vital public services.

"The working people of Wales will not understand or forgive if their priorities of social justice and fair work are lost in political game playing or deals involving right wing parties.

"It is incumbent upon progressives of all parties in our Senedd to get on with the job."
