Speaking in support of the GMB’s week of action to coincide with Amazon Prime Day offers, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:

“Amazon has run out of excuses. It needs to start looking after its workforce.

“It’s not right that workers are being set inhuman targets and having their every move watched by camera.

“It’s prime time for Amazon bosses to recognise trade unions and improve conditions for staff.”

- A Freedom of Information request by the GMB to West Midlands Ambulance Service detailed 24 incidents of chest pain, two electric shocks and 10 cases of trauma among call-outs received between 2015 and 2017.
