On 31st January, Inclusive Economy (@ieliverpool) are holding a celebratory recognition event for the best grassroots and community-focused organisations in the Liverpool City Region. We’re working with them to help to shine a light on the great practice out there, and employers that are making a difference.

So if you’re an employer, or know someone who is, and you’ve got a story to tell about creating great jobs or making good ones better, then we want to hear it.

It might be that you’ve got your own experiences and examples, but if it helps you might have done some of the below:

  • Recognised trades unions for collective bargaining for your staff
  • Puts workers' representatives on the board
  • Pay a Real Living Wage
  • Took action to end the gender pay gap and the gap between the highest and lowest paid
  • Don’t rely on zero hours contracts
  • Developed imaginative approaches to flexible working or reducing working hours
  • Has a workplace wellbeing policy and helps tackle stress at work

If you think this is you, then send a submission to nwcampaigns@tuc.org.uk, about what you have done and the difference you think it has made. The deadline is 5pm on 21st January 2019.

And let us know on Twitter that you think this is you - use the hashtag #GreatJobs and tag @TUCNorthWest and @IELiverpool to let us know the employer with the best jobs in the city region.
