Uber's license to operate in London expires on 31st May. Right now Uber does not pay the minimum wage to its drivers in London. Uber drivers don't even get basic rights like sick pay or holiday pay. But we could force Uber to change their exploitative business practices.

It sets out the current economic situation for disabled people, the barriers disabled people face, government initiatives to support disabled workers and provides a checklist for reps. The guide also provides good practise case studies on how unions and employers can work together to support disabled apprentices.

This report looks at the employment of disabled people and in particular examines the employment of people with depression and mental illness. Disability is not just a barrier to getting employment. Some people may become disabled while they are at work, which may require adaptations to their job. And some people have to leave work due to becoming disabled because they do not get the right changes to their workplace.

The TUC has published a briefing, Protecting Health and Safety after Brexit, which warns trade unionists and working people that health and safety protections are at risk from the government’s Brexit plans. Although the government has set out its intention in a white paper to transfer all existing health and safety protections from EU law to UK law, there are no guarantees for what happens afterwards. The TUC says that the next government must make sure that a commitment is written into the Brexit deal to, as a minimum, match present and future EU standards for workplace health and safety. Otherwise existing protections will be vulnerable to erosion and repeal.
