About this Role

Can you make working people’s stories come alive? The TUC is looking for a brilliant writer and blogger to tell our stories and get our campaigns noticed.

You’ll be writing regularly – sometimes blogs, sometimes webpages, sometimes opinion pieces for print. You’ll be able to adapt how you write to your audience, get on top of new topics quickly and make sure the TUC’s views are heard even when things are changing fast. You’ll champion great writing in the TUC, help make others’ writing better and make our blogs must-reads for everyone who cares about the world of work.

We’re looking for a bright, talented new colleague who’s able to get their head round our issues quickly and is committed to making work better for everyone. You’ll have experience in blogging, social media and writing for publication. And you’ll know your way around a website content management system, as well as web accessibility and SEO.

You’ll be joining a campaigns and comms department that runs a number of high-profile campaigns every year, secures extensive media coverage for our priorities and supports our general secretary Frances O’Grady to put working people at the heart of the political debate.
