An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to develop, co-ordinate and manage the next phase of UCU’s flagship “Future of the Profession/CPD for all” project which has supported more than 10,000 union members to develop new career-enhancing skills.
UCU is the voice of academic and professional staff in higher and further education. The aim of the project is to develop new approaches to meeting the professional development needs of UCU members with particular reference to hard-to-reach groups such as young or early career and casualised staff.
The Project Manager will be based in London (but alternative locations will be considered for the right candidate) and be responsible for ensuring the project achieves its objectives within budget and timescales.
The main duties include producing a detailed plan for the next phases of the project, building relationships with other sector agencies, managing the project budget, promoting the learning opportunities provided by the project, managing all project-related information resources and working with others to develop a related bargaining agenda on CPD.
