About this Role

Full-time permanent contract  

The TUC is looking for a policy officer to join our public service team and become involved in this vital area of work. Areas of policy covered within the team include health and social care, procurement, devolution, local government and public sector pay.

You’ll be joining our organisation, services and skills department and will have an opportunity to work beyond your specialism.

What experience, skills, knowledge and understanding do you need?

  • You’ll be experienced in policy development and promoting public services
  • You’ll have strong written skills, exercise great judgement and be able to take initiative
  • You’ll be a highly skilled communicator
  • You’ll be a practiced campaigner
  • You’ll share our trade union and antiracist values
