This senior role focuses on strategic financial management and is accountable for the full range of financial advice and services.
You will line manage a Finance Department, ensuring a culture of effective financial management controls across the whole organisation, including local associations. Regular duties will include the analysis of financial risk, assessment and monitoring of investments, accurate financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, managing working capital and cash-flow, statutory reporting and ensuring effective relationships with auditors, bankers and advisers.
We seek a credible, qualified accountant, with outstanding strategic vision, strong IT skills and commercial acumen. The successful candidate is likely to have a demonstrable track record of financial management and leadership in the context of elected lay governance, plus the proven ability to work with non-standard financial requirements such as those in the public or voluntary sectors.
