Responding to the terrible events in Brussels - Message from Frances O'Grady

Responding to the terrible events in Brussels this morning, TUC General Secretary Frances O'Grady, who is in the city for European trade union meetings, said:

"On behalf of the British trade union movement, I have sent a message of sympathy and solidarity to our Belgian colleagues, and to the survivors and the victims' families, friends and workmates. These appalling attacks, which have had such an impact on people at work or travelling to work, are an assault on freedom and community solidarity. We know, because of events like 7/7 in London, that communities must work together to prevent terrorists dividing us."
