Overview

As Glasgow prepares to host the COP26 international climate talks, the trade union movement will be keeping a close eye on what real action comes out of the discussions, including if the country's leaders will finally recognise that workplaces are key to reducing carbon emissions and transitioning the UK into a greener, fairer economy.

For years, trade union reps and activists have been leading the green industrial revolution.

In this latest online networking event for South West green reps, activists and members keen to do more in their workplaces on the green agenda, we invite Anna Markova, TUC's policy officer for industry and climate to discuss what the key priorities are for trade unions at COP26. She will also update reps on how we can work together to ensure a just transition for workers affected by the climate emergency as well as providing more good and green job opportunities for working people.

This is also an opportunity for green reps to network with each other and share ideas on what has worked (or not worked) in their workplaces.
