Overview

The TUC recognises the importance of ensuring that Union Health and Safety Representatives are given the tools and knowledge to support their members.

The Northern TUC Health & Safety Working Group told us that briefings and information on the following topics would be useful for reps in their role as workplace representatives:

  • Climate change and just transition, what it means for the North
  • Health and Safety Executive priorities now and looking forward
  • Building trade union membership through Health and Wellbeing

The development seminar is FREE to attend and is open to all trade union reps and members. The afternoon will be preceded by an informal meeting of health and safety reps where you can meet other health and safety representatives, discuss issues in your workplace and build contacts.

We will also be launching the Northern TUC’s Asbestos Support & Campaign Group Annual Report at the seminar.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Trade Union Safety Representatives should be entitled to paid time off to attend this development day.

An agenda and confirmation will be sent out prior to the event.Closing date is Friday 6th September. Please note you must register a place to attend.
