Theresa Griffin MEP supporting Fair Pay Fortnight

Theresa Griffin, North West MEP, today pledged her support to our #FairPayFortnight campaign and called for workers in Britain to get a pay rise. This comes following the announcement that workers here in the North West were £2,461 worse off following real terms falls in wages. Commenting on this, Theresa Griffin said:

"Under the Tory government, wages in the North West have plummeted by almost £2,500 leaving more and more hardworking families living in poverty. In 2015, it is unacceptable that the harsh reality of the ‘working poor’ exists. That is why I am adamant that Britain needs a pay rise and that is why I am a strong advocate of Fair Pay Fortnight."

The North West TUC has called on more politicians to show support for the campaign and has written to all MP's across the region.
