TUC Congress House, 23-28 Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3LS
2020 will be the 50th anniversary of first Pride, which was held in London. In 1970 the Gay Liberation Front organised the first Pride which has grown into a major London event and in other cities and towns – in our region, Brighton & Hove, Margate, Norwich & Norfolk Prides are all major events. In London today many boroughs now have local Prides – Croydon; Haringey; Waltham Forest for example and ones such as Forest Gate.
The event will have speakers from the Gay Liberation Front (GLF) veterans, who organised the first Pride fifty years ago along with contribution from Pride.
Alongside a performance piece specially set for the anniversary and a DJ.
