Overview

In this next session for the Radical History School, we invite Professor of History, Peter Cole PHD from Western Illinois University who will share the story of Ben Fletcher.

One of the most important African American trade unionists, he helped lead his union to become one of the most diverse and integrated organisations (not just union) of the time. All this despite the era's rampant racism, anti-unionism and xenophobia. Ben Fletcher is the radical revolutionary you need to know.
