TUC South West’s Young Organisers Network are excited to invite you to join our Safety Patrol in Plymouth.
Following the pilot of the Norwegian Summer Patrols in the South West and across the UK, we are inviting young trade union activists to get together and speak to young workers in public facing businesses about their workplace conditions and safety.
We will meet on 11 February, where you will have the opportunity to:
Following the pilot of the Norwegian Summer Patrols in the South West and across the UK, we are inviting young trade union activists to get together and speak to young workers in public facing businesses about their workplace conditions and safety.
We will meet on 11 February, where you will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in a patrol session, where in groups you will enter workplaces and interview young people about their experiences of work and workplace safety.
- Enjoy a lunch roundtable discussion and networking space.
- Join and contribute to an evening event on safety at work (which we will promote to the wider community during our patrols).
Training will be provided, so you don’t need to have participated in a patrol before.

Food will be provided. Please speak to your union about any additional funding and release.
