Overview

We are pleased to announce the next West Yorkshire Union Learning network meeting will take place on Thursday 14th December 10:00 - 13:00 at the UNISON/TUC Yorkshire and Humber Office, Quayside House, Canal Wharf Leeds LS11 5PS. This venue is within walking distance of Leeds train and bus stations.

The agenda is still to be finalised but will include the opportunity to network and share best practice with other ULRs. At the September 2023 meeting, attendees agreed that it would be helpful for ULRs to bring and share examples of what has worked well for them - marketing, publicity, engagement with management, learning events, working with providers etc. along with websites, applications, and resources they have employed to deliver these. So, this will form part of the agenda and sessions. There will also be an update on West Yorkshire Combined Authority skills and funding, provision available across the region and an update on ULR training opportunities.

We will be agreeing how you would like the 2024 meetings to be held and delivered, and what should be included, as well as the type of support you would like from the TUC skills project.

This event is open to ULRs in West and North Yorkshire.

Tea and coffee will be provided on arrival.

Please email Phill Day if you would like anything further including on the agenda, or if you have any problems registering.

This is your opportunity to tell us how we can support you, your workplaces and branches with union learning.

Closing date for registration is Thursday 7th December 2023.
