Event details:

The Wales TUC is launching a new toolkit to support trade unionists campaigning for greener workplaces and a just transition to a net-zero Wales.

The climate and nature crisis is a trade union issue. Join us at this event to discuss:

  • how we can organise and mobilise for a 'just transition'
  • why a fair and fast shift to a net-zero economy is vital for workers in Wales and beyond
  • what practical action we can take to create greener workplaces
  • how to access new training and what support is needed to build the network of trade union green reps in Wales

The event will be chaired by Shavanah Taj, Wales TUC General Secretary.

Speakers include:

Graham Petersen - Secretary, Greener Jobs Alliance and toolkit co-author

Chris Roberts - Sustainable travel campaigner and writer, and toolkit co-author

Sarah Pearce - Assistant National Officer, UNISON - previously TUC GreenWorkplaces Project leader

John James - Trade Union Studies Coordinator, Coleg Gwent

Jo Rees -  Policy and Communications Support Officer, Wales TUC and toolkit co-author

The event will include a Q & A panel session with guest speakers.
