Overview

The coronavirus crisis has led many people to consider what new skills they need or would like to learn.

New home working tools were available before the lockdown but more options have been created to help as many working people pick up new skills and learn online.

It is also true that many workers face losing or have already lost their jobs, and will need extra help from their union on the learning opportunities available to them.

This online briefing and discussion forum will focus on these issues and be a vehicle to support more reps to boost learning in their workplaces.

We will consider what resources are available, especially in the West of England area and how we should prepare for redundancy support.

The session will also hear about initiatives including: unionlearn at home, Future Bright and Ways 2 Work.
