On Monday 25 October Sudanese army generals arrested the civilian members of the Transitional Government which has been governing Sudan since August 2019, triggering a massive wave of strikes, protests and civil disobedience. This meeting will hear from Sudanese activist Raga Makawi about the popular resistance to the military coup, how it relates to the revolution of 2019 and the role of the workers' movement and the grassroots resistance committees in pushing forward the movement for genuine democracy and social justice.
