International Women's Day is a global day which takes place in March every year. It celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women - while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality.  

And every year the Northern TUC and affiliated unions organise seminars and events throughout the region, raising awareness and campaigning on issues that really matter to women.
