Unions and the community demand an urgent response to the cost of living crisis
The TUC has demanded an urgent response to the cost of living crisis, including an Emergency Budget and a windfall tax on energy companies. To win political change, unions and communities need to campaign together, robustly, to turn anger into hope, and hope into action.
This public meeting will have ‘organising to win change’ at its core, including mobilising for the TUC national demonstration 18 June, and building support for further campaign actions that will follow.
Keynote speaker, Dave Ward, general secretary, Communication Workers Union, (CWU).
Contributions from local union reps: including GMB, NEU, PCS, RMT, Unite and Unison.
Welcome message from: Paul Barnett, Leader of Hastings Borough Council, and contributions from community reps from Hastings
The TUC will lead a short session on ‘organising for change’
This event is being organised with the support of Hastings and District trades council.
