Overview

Workers in Wales are at risk of redundancy because of the economic impact of coronavirus. Providing accurate advice and support for vulnerable workers may also prove more difficult during the crisis.

In this Coronavirus at Work webinar on 8 April at 11.15am we'll be hearing from Sian Clarke, employment lawyer at Slater and Gordon, and Deri Bevan, Wales TUC Union Learning Support Officer.

We'll be discussing:

  • How to support your colleagues at risk of redundancy
  • How to advise workers of their rights during the crisis and the legal issues and definitions of terms being used
  • How to ensure that your employer follows the correct procedure for making someone redundant
  • The support available to workers in Wales through programmes such as ReAct and Working Wales, and how to access them during the crisis
  • The support available from trade unions in Wales for workers under threat of redundancy.
