A regional seminar for union reps and activists

This training event will bring together reps to delve into some of the challenges facing workers, as well as providing updates on critical issues to strengthen the knowledge of union reps. 

Workshops and discussions will revolve around: employment law updates, workplace safety inspections, in-work poverty and digital tools to support organising and campaigning. Attendees will also get the opportunity to network with each other and share experiences of their roles.

Time off for training

Union reps have a right to reasonable paid time off to carry out union duties and undertake training. They also have the right to reasonable unpaid time off to undertake union activities.
