TUC welcomes Government proposal for permanent TUC-CBI productivity group

TUC General-Secretary, John Monks , has welcomed the invitation from Chancellor Gordon Brown and Secretary of State Patricia Hewitt to join a permanent TUC-CBI productivity group, saying:

"This group can make an extremely valuable contribution to tackling the UK’s productivity gap and I welcome the chance to continue the dialogue we have had with employers and Government."
