Commenting on a new report published today (Monday) by the Priced Out campaign for lower cost housing, which finds that young people who move to cities with more job vacancies will be £1,002 per year worse off because of higher rents, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:

“This report shows how Britain’s chronic housing shortage is holding back young people desperate to start their careers.

“Unless we start building more affordable homes now, people will continue to get trapped in employment blackspots because they can’t afford to move to where the job opportunities are.”
