Overview

Tuesday 17 May is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT).

On this day we stand in solidarity with LGBT+ people around the world and fight to end the violence, disadvantage and discrimination they face.

Join our event to mark the day, where we'll be discussing how we fight the homophobia, biphobia and transphobia of the international far right which poses such a threat to LGBT+ communities.

Speakers include:

  • Chair: Claire Mullaly, Prospect, TUC LGBT+ Committee member
  • Jo Grady, UCU General Secretary
  • Paul Fleming, Equity General Secretary
  • Dr S Chelvan, Head of Immigration and Public Law, 33 Bedford Row. Chelvan is a legal expert on refugee and human rights claims based on sexual or gender identity and expression.
