Industrial regions and climate change conference, Leeds

A one day conference in Leeds on the 17 June is being held to discuss the main causes of industrial change and decline, to look at the impact so far of energy and climate change policies and investments in the region, and how these issues will affect industry and power in the future. The conference will also discuss what should be done to deliver a regional low carbon industrial and power network.

Sue Fearns, Deputy General Secretary of Prospect /TUC General council member will chair and open the conference with Roger Marsh Chair of the Leeds City region LEP and Bill Adams TUC Regional Secretary setting the scene.

They will be joined by a number of eminent speakers, including Benjamin Denis ETUC, and representatives from Industry and trade unions. The afternoon session will be addressed by Kishor Tailor, Chief Executive Humber LEP.
