7 Days to Save the NHS

7 Days to Save Our NHS

Our friends at People's Vote for the NHS are launching their '7 Days to Save our NHS' campaign on 30 April 2015. On this day NHS campaigners are organising a stunt and photo call outside the Department of Health, Westminster. The emphasis of the day and short campaign will be on asking everyone eligible to vote, to use their vote to save the NHS.

People's Vote for the NHS does not advocate who to vote for, but urges their supporters to contact their PPCs and current/former MPs to pledge to save the NHS by signing up to the campaign's five key pledges. For more information and to get involved, see here.

Stop the NHS sell off

Recent announcements of the award of a £280m contract to Virgin for elderly care in Staffordshire and the £780m multiple private provider deal with NHS Supply Chain are confirming many people's fears that the NHS sell off is increasing at pace. While MPs attempt to downplay the speed and scale of NHS outsourcing and privatisation, our friends at the NHS Support Federation continue to dig up the real evidence.
