Free Bagpipe and Chanter Taster Sessions with BrightSparks POA Union Learning Centre
Come and join us and try out Bagpipes, Chanter and First Aid (HeartStart) for free. Pick up some free goodies and some free information, advice and guidance. This event is part of the Nationwide Learning Revolution Festival and held in conjunction with unionlearn and the Northern TUC.
Don Head, BrightSparks Learning Centre manager said, 'For the Learning Revolution Festival we decided to take the union learning ethos to the local community in Amble. This would enable staff, family, friends and all within the area to access learning via the POA Union Learning Centre. It was decided that sessions on the Chanter and Bagpipes would entice the local community into the event, even if only to see what else is on offer at the learning centre. Interest in the event has grown over the past two weeks through advertising in the community.'
Saturday 24th October 2009. 10am-12pm.
Trinity Methodist Church, Percy Street, Amble (opposite Percy Street Post Office.)
