apprenticeships employers badgeThe TUC currently has funding for an apprenticeship project. The main focus of the project is developing the TUC's existing policy on apprenticeships and supporting affiliate unions' work on apprenticeships across the country. It is a two year project(2009-2011).

As well as mapping out existing union apprenticeship projects, the project team will be supporting affiliate unions through regional workshops, regional courses for reps, guides for apprentices on their rights at work as well as a toolkit for reps to negotiate with employers and to support apprentices at work. apprenticeships employers badge

Orders a limited to a maximum of 10 toolkits per order. The toolkit is a resource for union reps and ULRs who are negotiating with employers on Apprenticeships or who are approaching an employer to discuss the possibility of taking on apprentices. The factsheets provide concise information on a range of topics related to Apprenticeships.

This toolkit is intended to be used as a reference and information resource for reps. Factsheets can be taken out and given directly to an employer if information on a specific topic is required.
