TUC in the Midlands



Unite march for jobs

Thousands of trade union members marched and held a rally in Birmingham in support of jobs. Speakers included Brendan Barber, TUC General Secretary, and Unite Joint General Secretaries Tony Woodley and Derek Simpson.

The Midlands TUC is the voice of working people in our region. We represent trade unions on the main regional bodies, ensuring that the views of working people are heard where it matters on economic development and jobs, training and skills, and social policy.


Workers Memorail Day TUC wreath

TUC staff laid a wreath in commemoration of those workers who have died in the course of their work, Birmingham Workers Memorial Day 2009.

We campaign on workplace isues that affect working people including health and safety, discrimination and pensions.
